My ‘Unbreakable Spirit’ Campaign Press Conference …
how have ya been ? i think tis will b a very long blog cos i have lots of photos!! (haha) so sorry 4 missing in action as I’ve been quiet for the last week (very busy preparing for yesterday’s press conference), well i’m glad to say tat everything went pretty well especially my singing part (hehe) cos i was very2 nervous the whole day … (i sang 2 songs btw)
oh .. In case u r wondering wat am i talking about (hehe) … yesterday was the launch of ‘Unbreakable Spirit’ campaign with Sunsilk Shampoo, which has appointed me as their NEW spokesperson (yay!) - thanks everyone at Unilever - cos u guys made me feel like a ’star’ yesterday, everything was so wonderful and everyone treated me really nice … actually, i wasn’t informed about tis until last month!! mainly bcos they wanted to gimme the good news only when it’s confirmed …
guess wat … i was told by Sunsilk tat they read my blog also (can u believe it??!!) hahah … and have been following wat i write especially about my struggle when i was still a student and my other dilemmas, i guess many young people faces the same problem as i do except tat sometimes i write about it more often (hehe) … tat’s also e reason they wanna support a newcomer like me!!
Anyway, remember i wrote something about wanting to do an online concert?? (i think tat was 2006!) … well i’ve been planning with my producer for ages except tat we couldn’t do it (cos it cost a lot of money which small company like Prodigee, my music label cannot afford) - the closest i ever got to doing this is my own ‘amateur’ video on youtube (hahah) so this campaign which I’m goin to do is about ‘this unbreakable spirit’ and FINALLY, my own ONLINE CONCERT !!! - Errr … actually, i’ve been told the real name for it is ‘first ever online music performance with Karen’ .. hehe, so there you go!! IT’S GOIN TO HAPPEN!!
I’ve received so many well-wishes from my supporters who cannot even buy my album (cos it’s not available in Indonesia / HK / Philippines etc) - pls dun ask me why cos I really dunno much about album distribution, I guess i’m only a newcomer and it takes time … anyway, an ONLINE performance will be my way of thanking all my supporters and where-ever you are … you can view my music performance and support me tis time! .. oh, we’re doing all the preparation work now so it’s goin to be in EARLY JULY so pls remember to check back on tis ya …
Lastly, i really wanna thank those people who attended my PC especially the media people, since launching my album in Feb i’ve come to know them better so i hope more people can accept me for what i believe in … and i really look forward to this campaign bcos there’ll be new songs (including AKAN) and i’ll be able to travel to many places to meet my new friends too!
