I’ve finally graduated !! So wat’s next??
I was supposed to update my blog about my graduation last week … but then i fell sicked, as soon as my parents headed home to Labuan, i started throwing up, my throat hurts so much that i sounded like an old-lady (my manager couldn’t recognize me over the phone) haha ! … so after seeing the doctor twice, i stayed home for the whole-week (other than a few interviews), anyway i’m gettin better now and i have a charity performance tonight also.
Well YES! .. i’ve finally graduated! It was a satisfying moment for me but definitely a proud moment for my parents, i can’t thank them enough for giving me all the opportunity in life … and i hope i won’t let them down as their daughter (i also have 2 elder sisters, both married though, hehe) .. it was also a great day cos I meet up wit many frens i haven’t seen since finishing our exam last year, somehow i have a feeling we won’t b able to have such big gathering for a long time to come, it’s so sad … but it’s also great cos tat means all of us r going for our own dreams now … i can only wish everyone all the very best, Gan Ba Teh !!
It’s funny, i took a photo wit Datuk Ong (our MCA President) tat day, and he asked me "so wat r u goin to do now, have u got a job yet?" hehe … i answered ‘kinda’ .. and basically just smiled … THEN it really got me thinking … i guess now tat i’m given tis opportunity to pursue my dream, and through my music … i really hope to make a difference … I always knew i wanted to sing but i never really thought deeply wat tis means … i’m still looking for the answer but since launching my album, i’ve come to know a lot more about myself and things i may be able to do tat can have positive impact on others .. i received letters, emails etc from so many people .. about their stories, some very sad and some very encouraging .. and telling me how i’ve inspired them, it’ really2 made me feel happy (thanks 2 all tat shared your story to me) … when i first joined friendster, i wrote tat the world needs to be a happier place, we should all look at the brighter-side of life .. i still believe in it today …
And if i can use my passion in music to do tis, i will gladly do so … step-by-step i really hope i can, it’s really a long2 way for me to go … but since i’m only 22, there’s still time and much room for me to improve and also to discover about my PURPOSE IN LIFE (haha, how come suddenly so philosophical??! .. hehe), i guess when u just graduated .. u r already part of the big society and no longer daddy’s little girl anymore (sigh), i now have to take full responsibility of all my actions … so i can only pray tat i’ve made the right choice in life i guess …
Better go .. gotta practice for tonight, write more later k @ chao! kAREN

I’ve been clicking everyday to see if you’ve uploaded ur graduation pics and you FINALLY did! Hehehehe… congrats once again and welcome to the undergraduates world (also welcome to the accounting world since i’m in the same industry!!!)

We had our internship at a Mental Institution for the abandoned and incapable people about a year ago… I was hoping that I could work as a help aide but unfortunately, I had to work in the corporate business to earn cash to fund my plans for further studies…
But as for you, Karen, I believe that we should do things that we like most as long as we have the chance… UTILIZATION MAXIMIZATION as I put it… Life is short…very short indeed… so we must do things that are fruitful but at the same time, things that we really like and we have passion for…

Congratulations on your graduation! You’re really lucky to have finished college. I only have to wait for one more year until I graduate but, hey! It’s alright. For now, I’m going to celebrate my brother’s graduation. He’s a 4th year high school student. Soon he’ll be joining me and my sister as college students. My sister’s on her 2nd yr. and I’m on my 4th year. I’ll be taking my off-cam teaching at the 2nd sem but for now I’m gonna have to stay in school finishing what is left for the upcoming semester. Currently, I’m planning to take a summer course for my specialization in Special Education. Honestly, it’s my first time to take up a summer course for advancement and I don’t know how the system works so I feel a little worried about what fate has in store for me but I’ll still push forward. You have come a long way since you became an artist. By your graduation, I can tell that you appreciate what your parents have done for you. You didn’t waste their efforts, you did your part, and you made them proud. Once again, congratulations. Gan ba teh!
